Who is In Your Circle?

Whether we may realize it or not, we are a reflection of the people we associate ourselves with. It doesn’t mean that we are exactly like them but we may think the same way they do. This can be a good thing in some ways because it’s nice to have friends that are on the same page as you but this could also be a very bad thing as well. If you have friends who are negative thinkers, you could be affected by it. When we surround ourselves with people who think negatively and are always feeling sorry for themselves, we’re going to think negative and feel sorry for ourselves too if we’re not happy. This is because we are surrounded with people who think this way and it will surely rub off on us. It’s so important that we choose our friends wisely. If you’re a positive and optimistic person, you need to surround yourself among positive and optimistic people. As the old saying goes “Birds of a feather, flock together.” (Are you with the right people?)

If we surround ourselves with people who set goals for themselves and are successful, we will want to be that way too. Everyone needs someone to set a good example for them. People who are negative are leading a very bad example. They never believe that things work out and they are always putting other people down. Do you really want to be around someone like that? Most likely no. It is important that we take a closer look at the people we associate with. Are they worth being in your life? Or are they someone that you would rather not associate yourself with? It’s your life and you may not always be able to control what’s going on around you but you definitely can control who you befriend. We could be saving ourselves a lot of trouble by choosing the people in our circle wisely.
